Twisted & Turned By Nature

These developed during my trip to the USA on the Colorado Plateau. Here it was very dry so there was a lot of dead wood around. From this I could see lots of lines flowing through the length of the wood, never in a straight line but they would twist and turn, like a journey through life. Some of this wood was particularly twisted like a cork screw. In this art my lines depict lines of life. These lines constantly turning, meandering as life it often isn’t as straight forward as you think. Ones life is never a straight line, simple A to B, often the best way is the longer more careful approach. Also in life you are always moving on, as time never stands still you never get to the same moment again.
